Serving Families in the East
Mississauga & Etobicoke Area

There is currently a large demand for midwifery services in East Mississauga and as a result, we cannot accept every person who makes a request for care. Spots at our clinic fill up very quickly, so we recommend that you fill out the intake form as early as possible in your pregnancy.

Beginning October 8, 2025, Trillium Health Partners, our affiliated hospital, will provide all inpatient hospital care for women's health, birthing patients, and children at Credit Valley Hospital. This change will continue until construction is complete on the future Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children.

If you are planning to give birth at Mississauga Hospital before October 8, 2025, your plans will not change.

Midwives care for pregnant people and their babies through pregnancy, labour, birth and for the first six weeks after the baby is born.

Midwives provide free care in Ontario. Our clients do not need an Ontario health card to get free midwifery care. However, uninsured clients are responsible for paying for hospital stays. Proof of Ontario residency will be requested. More information can be found here.

Midwives believe pregnancy and birth are normal and healthy. All routine prenatal tests are offered and explained thoroughly to allow our clients to make their own choices. Pregnant individuals choose to see either a midwife or a doctor for their pregnancy, not both.

Midwives believe that you should have the choice to have your baby safely at home or in hospital.

Midwives believe that you have a better experience when you know your caregivers before labour starts.

The boundaries of our catchment area include Kipling Avenue to the east, Mavis Road to the west (Credit River south of Queensway), north in Etobicoke to Rathburn Road and in Mississauga to Steeles Avenue, and south to Lake Ontario.
