East Mississauga Midwives

Welcome to EMM!

East Mississauga Midwives provides free, comprehensive, community-based care to pregnant people living in Mississauga and West Etobicoke.

Our clinic is located at 3034 Palstan Road, just off of Dundas St E, between Dixie Rd and Tomken Rd in Mississauga. It is accessible by public transit and free parking is provided. There is barrier-free (elevator) access from the south side of the parking lot to our clinic on the first floor, and access from the front of the building by stairs.

EMM holds hospital privileges with Trillium Health Partners, and offers hospital delivery at Credit Valley Hospital. As of October 2025, all hospital-based pregnancy, birth and inpatient pediatric services in Mississauga will be centrally provided at Credit Valley Hospital until construction is complete on the future Shah Family Hospital for Women and Children.

how it works-the basics

Choose a pregnancy care provider

If you are pregnant and living in Ontario, you may be eligible to have a Registered Midwife as your primary pregnancy care provider. You do not need a referral from another health care provider to access midwifery care, and you do not need an OHIP card.

Check your address

EMM provides comprehensive midwifery care to pregnant people living within our catchment area. If you live outside these boundaries, another midwifery practice may be able to accommodate you. You can find out online which midwifery clinics are in your area.

Fill out an intake form

The demand for midwifery care in Ontario is high, and our spots are limited. We recommend completing an intake form as soon as possible if you are considering midwifery care. You must fill out the intake form even if you have been in care with EMM before.

We will contact you

You will be contacted by our administrative staff once we receive your completed intake form. If we have space available the month you are due, we will reach out to schedule an initial appointment at our clinic.
